Deciding on the right Facility when your child is in need is important. Whether your child is dealing with an illness or just needs a physical to make sure they are ready to participate in their favorite sport, our Pediatricians can do it all. 

Dr. Charelle Lockhart

 Dr. Charelle Lockhart was born in the City of Nassau on the beautiful Island of New Providence, The Bahamas. Dr. Lockhart obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors from the University of Western Ontario in 1998, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of the West Indies in 2003. After graduating from the University of the West Indies, Dr. Lockhart completed her internship at The Princess Margaret Hospital. It was her desire to specialize in Pediatric medicine that propelled her to complete a residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami/Holtz Children’s Hospital in Miami Florida, where she was trained in the area of General Pediatrics. Today, Dr. Lockhart serves as a Pediatric Consultant at The Princess Margaret Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Room, where she is responsible for teaching and mentoring Medical Students, Interns and Residents. Dr. Lockhart practices primary care and specializes in newborn circumcision. 

Dr. Marcia Bassett

 Dr. Marcia Bassett was born on the lovely island of Grand Turk, in The Turks & Caicos Islands. Dr. Bassett obtained an Associate of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry from the College of The Bahamas. She continued her education and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree from University of the West Indies. After obtaining her medical degree, Dr. Bassett completed post-graduate training in the area of General Pediatrics at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Currently Dr. Bassett serves as an Associate Lecturer at the University of the West Indies School of Clinical Medicine and Research; she also serves as a Consultant Physician at Princess Margaret Hospital, located in Nassau, The Bahamas and as a General Pediatrician. Dr. Bassett is a member of The Medical Association of The Bahamas, the local Consultant Physician Staff Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr Rudi-Ann Graham

 Dr Rudi-Ann Graham was born in the vibrant city of Kingston, Jamaica. She graduated from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of the West Indies, Mona, with first-class honors, in 2012. She then completed an internship, as well as two subsequent years as a Senior House officer in Pediatrics at the Princess Margaret Hospital, in Nassau, Bahamas. She completed Residency in Pediatrics at the University of Miami (UM) Miller School of Medicine, Miami, Florida, and gained American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) certification in General Pediatrics in 2018. Additionally, she has completed two fellowships, in Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), in New York, NY, and in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapies at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA. She became ABP Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology in 2023. While she is most passionate about treating children with hemoglobinopathies, and underlying bleeding disorders, she continues to treat an array of hematologic conditions, in addition to providing general pediatric care. She is thrilled at the possibility of shaping the future of pediatrics and hematology in the Bahamas.

Dr Graham has been happily married for 7 years. Both her and her husband recently returned to Nassau after completing medical training in the United States and are now focused on building their practices and family here in the Bahamas. In her free time, Dr Graham enjoys baking tasty desserts for her friends and family, or otherwise getting lost in a good book.

Dr. Sade Lopez

 Dr. Sade Lopez was born in Nassau, The Bahamas. From a young age, she had a deep love for children and always aspired to work in a field where she could make a difference in their lives. Dr. Lopez obtained her undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University in Canada and went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree in Pediatrics from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica in 2024.

Since 2018, Dr. Lopez has gained extensive hands-on experience in pediatrics, working within the Public Hospitals Authority in Nassau, The Bahamas. She has developed a strong background in patient-centered care, healthcare management, and patient advocacy, with a commitment to improving health outcomes and supporting team growth.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Lopez enjoys crafting, DIY projects, and exploring cosmetology. She brings her creativity and bubbly personality into her everyday practice, making each visit a welcoming and enjoyable experience for children and their families.

Dr. Lopez is passionate about pediatric medicine and is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care. She looks forward to fostering trusted relationships with her patients and their families as she continues to serve the community she calls home.
